After news about Matteo Darmian looking for a house in Milan broke, rumours have started that the Italian would join Inter in January. However, Manchester United’s asking price isn’t compatible with Inter’s situation given the FFP restrictions imposed by the UEFA. From United’s point of view, Darmian would go on loan with a forced option to buy, something Inter cannot accept. At most, a formula shifted in time as stipulated in the deal with Atalanta Gagliardini could work, but this format isn’t accepted from the English side.
