Pioli to SKY: “Juventus? I don’t want a draw, I want Inter to go for it. We want the UCL”

After the game against Pescara, Inter coach Stefano Pioli spoke with SKY: “Every positive aspect of what we are doing right now comes from hard work. There is enthusiasm and awareness and with that you get the results you want. Icardi is a great attacker who always offers different solutions for attacking. He hasn’t scored in a while now but he still makes a difference. The entire team works together and each player sacrifices himself, they work hard in attack and in defence and this attitude we have to uphold for 90 minutes. If I’m ok with a draw against Juventus? No I want Inter to perform well and I want the three points. We face the strongest team in the championship but we go to Juventus Stadium to perform well, without respecting them too much. I want to send a special thanks to the team for what they are doing, also to the guys that don’t play that much but always participate and contribute in their own way. The position in the standings that we have today, isn’t the one we want to have come May 28th. Our ambition is the UCL because we are a great team with a great history. We want to finish amongst the top three. In defence we want to tighten the space around our opponents, be on top in order to get the ball back. If I will give up an external against Juventus? I haven’t thought of that, we have many alternatives and we have a lot of time to find out what is the best way to take the field. Tonight was a game that can be dangerous if you don’t have the right attitude. But we have a balance that the other teams fear. We also need to evaluate how the game on Tuesday goes.”
