Arsenal legend Ian Wright weighed in on the Alexis Sanchez situation in an interview with the BBC: “I think his agent is already on the phone right now. The comparison with others? These things happen. But when they are united these things do not come out . It is a shame because he is the best Arsenal player, a player that Arsenal desperately needs. I’m not sure the money would suffice to keep him. If I were him, I’d probably go away from Arsenal because Arsenal are outside the top four, it is certainly not what he expected to find when he came. I feel he is unhappy and it seems pretty clear that he wants to leave.”
