Interviewed by the BBC, Luis Muriel spoke about potential big name suitors, including Inter, out for his name.
“I have admitted to hearing rumors but I have not had contact with anyone. There’s nothing concrete, only rumors.”
When told president Ferrero will offer him a new contract, Luis said, “He’s a person who has done only good for me. I will never forget. He believed in me in a difficult time.”
Many people think he will be sold in the region of 28 million EURO, Luis said, “I often think of childhood, the fact that I had no money, to the time I’d use bus money for a sweet. Then I think about what I’ve achieved and I’m truly touched. Yes, 28 million is impressive for a boy from Colombia.”
