[post_content] => After agreeing to take over at Roma next season, Jose Mourinho has already begun planning to build his squad and will challenge Inter for Udinese goalkeeper Juan Musso.

The former Nerazzurri tactician will replace Paulo Fonseca at the Stadio Olimpico at the end of the campaign after being sacked by Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur last month.

As reported in today's newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, high on Mourinho's list of priorities is a new goalkeeper to replace Pau Lopez and 27-year-old Musso has been identified.

The Giallorossi face a considerable stumbling block in Udinese's valuation of the Argentine however, with the Zebrette ready to hold out for €25 million.

Should Roma be put off by this asking price, they will turn their attention to Mourinho's Portuguese compatriot Rui Patricio, currently at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Musso joined Udinese from Racing Club in 2018 and has made 95 appearances, with his performances attracting the attention of Inter.

[post_content] => Inter have not decided yet on a strategy for their goalkeeping situation next season, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As per Gazzetta.it, Samir Handanovic is expected to remain in goal as things stand but Inter have not ruled out the possibility of signing a new goalkeeper anyway.

Juan Musso is one of Inter's preferred choices to succeed Handanovic, but the Udinese shot-stopper is worth €30 million and cannot realistically be signed to act as back-up.

One way around the problem, according to this report, could be to 'reserve' Musso for next season when Handanovic's contract expires (assuming he doesn't renew) - although this is nothing more than an idea for now.

Inter have to decide whether they want their new goalkeeper to be a back-up for Handanovic or another first-choice option, because this will make a huge difference to who they pursue.

Musso is unlikely to agree to join the Nerazzurri if he cannot start in goal, but Inter would also find it difficult to invest a lot of money in a second-choice keeper.

Inter have hardly ever tried to make two top goalkeepers co-exist, the Milan-based publication explained, with a rare exception under Roberto Mancini when Francesco Toldo battled against Alberto Fontana and Julio Cesar.

There has always been clarity between the sticks apart from that, leading this report to suggest that Musso and Handanovic are unlikely to be at Inter together next season.

[post_content] => Inter are looking to bring in Udinese's Argentinian pair Juan Musso and Rodrigo De Paul by offering players in exchange to secure a deal.

According to Calciomercato.com, the Nerazzurri have been tracking midfielder and captain De Paul for some time, whilst they see goalkeeper Musso as a long-term replacement for Samir Handanovic.

With financial constraints making a transfer for either player difficult, Inter are hoping to convince Udinese to release the two players by offering goalkeeper Ionut Radu and striker Andrea Pinamonti in exchange.

Radu has not made an appearance for Inter this season as he serves as back-up to Handanovic, whilst Pinamonti has been limited to just five substitute appearances in Serie A under Antonio Conte this term.

The 21-year-old striker has also attracted interest from Hellas Verona and Inter may use him as leverage in their negotiations to bring Gialloblu defender Federico Dimarco back to the club this summer, should Verona trigger an option to sign him.

[post_content] => Inter have a plan to lower Udinese's asking price for Juan Musso, according to a report in the Italian media today.

FcInterNews.it confirmed the Nerazzurri were seeking a goalkeeper who could act as back-up for Samir Handanovic next season, before eventually taking over as his successor.

Musso remains Inter's preferred choice, but they will need to find a way to satisfy Udinese's €25 million price tag for the 26-year-old.

Inter could offer Andrei Radu as part of the deal for Musso, with the Friulian side known to be admirers of the Romanian.

Radu has not played since returning to Inter from Genoa last summer and would have even less opportunity to do so if Inter signed a new second-choice goalkeeper.

Hellas Verona are also keen on Radu as they seek a replacement for Marco Silvestri, and this could lead to a straight swap deal between the Gialloblu and Inter.

Both goalkeepers are valued at around €10 million, meaning Inter would not have to spend a single euro to secure their new shot-stopper.

[post_content] => Inter put one hand on the Scudetto thanks to another Matteo Darmian masterclass bringing them the three points at home to an out of sorts Hellas Verona.

Following a frustrating draw at Spezia in midweek, the Nerazzuri were looking to bounce back and take advantage of Milan’s defeat to Sassuolo.

A trying test against Ivan Juric’s side threatened to peter out into a draw until former Torino man Darmian finished another Achraf Hakimi cross.

Here’s what we learned from another week for Inter.

1)  Danilo D’Ambrosio Deserves A New Deal

Danilo D’Ambrosio has been a key and vital component to Inter’s squad over the past couple of seasons.

Clutch goal after clutch goal and some match winning displays in derby games has seen D’Ambrosio transform from banter era victim to stalwart.

Despite spending a large portion of this term on the treatment table, D’Ambrosio has established himself as a key squad member.

Versatile, whole hearted and full of experience, the club would be daft to not offer the former Torino man a new deal.

Few players could fill the options he provides. Get on the phone Ausilo!

2) Rest Romelu Lukaku

Romelu Lukaku is looking very tired.

After an intense schedule and international football sprinkled on top, the big Belgian needs a real rest.

Given he is so key to Antonio Conte’s playing style and the form he has been in, Lukaku has been one of the players to not see a spell on the sidelines to recuperate.

In the last week it has been clear to see that even against provincial sides he hasn’t been firing on the same level.

Give Sanchez or Pinamonti the start at Crotone.

3) Alessio Cragno, Juan Musso or Marco Silvestri?

After another gaffe, Samir Handanovic reminded every Nerazzuri fan that his time as the side’s starting keeper is coming to an end.

Cagliari’s Alessio Cragno has been mentioned as a replacement and should his side succumb to relegation he could even be a cheap pickup.

Although short in stature, his shot stopping is up there with the best in the league. A deal of around €15million euros has been touted too so not a massive fee.

An even cheaper option could be Verona’s Marco Silvestri who has been in excellent form for the Bentegodi outfit the past few seasons.

A leader and a shot stopper who is approaching his peak years, Silvestri could represent a good value deal.

A more expensive option might be Juan Musso of Udinese.

A former team mate of Lautaro Martinez at Racing, the Argentine stopper has signalled to his club that he wants to play Champions League football next term.

A fee of €30 million might be a bit steep given the club’s finances so one of the other two maybe more realistic.

Let us know in the comments who your choice would be.

4) Super League Withdrawal Makes Sense

Despite not being the first to exit the farce that was the ESL this week, Inter have now backed away from the controversial competition.

With Florentino Perez’s dream going up in smoke, Inter’s position in the footballing world has been slightly restored.

Much to the upset of the club’s faithful, it seemed as if Steven Zhang and the Suning group seemed keen on picking up some much needed cash from entry to the money pot.

Thankfully for the time being it seems as if the idea has gone dead and club’s reputation hasn’t been harmed too much.

Long live the art of competition. Don’t think this is the last of it however..

5) Scudetto In Antonio Conte’s Clutches

The club need just five points to hit Scudetto heaven and clinch their first league title in over a decade.

Despite a number of stuttering performances of late, their rivals continue to drop points whilst Inter find a way to win.

With Crotone and Sampdoria up next, six points will make the title secure.

Every Nerazzuri fan has been living and breathing for this moment for the past decade and finally its coming to fruition, barring a quite sensational collapse.

Enjoy it. Bask in it. Smile and sit back. It’s coming.

[post_content] => Inter remain strongly interested in Udinese duo Juan Musso and Rodrigo de Paul, as confirmed by a leading Italian journalist today.

The Nerazzurri have been linked with both players throughout 2021 as they seek a long-term replacement for Samir Handanovic in goal and another high-profile midfielder.

Libero's Fabrizio Biasin assured Inter had not given up on signing Musso or De Paul, revealing they could even receive preferential treatment from Udinese this summer.

"I can confirm Inter are very interested in both players," Biasin, a known Inter supporter, told Calciomercato.it during a live broadcast last night.

"Inter have been speaking with Udinese about Musso and De Paul for a couple of years now, I think they even have a right of first refusal on them.

"Beppe Marotta, Piero Ausilio and Antonio Conte all like De Paul and if it hadn't been for Inter's ownership situation I think they might have signed him in January.

"Inter are definitely admirers of De Paul and are staying in contact with Udinese and his agent, but there's a big question mark about Inter's corporate issues."

A report elsewhere in Italy today claimed Udinese would want €40 million to sell their captain De Paul and that Inter would probably need to sell a key player first, otherwise they would not be able to afford such a fee.

Musso confirmed in an interview with Spain's media this week that he is dreaming of joining a club which plays in the UEFA Champions League one day.

[post_content] => Udinese goalkeeper Juan Musso admits he would love to play in the UEFA Champions League one day, amid rumoured interest from Inter.

Inter are widely reported to have identified Musso as one of their potential long-term successors to Samir Handanovic, who turns 37 in July.

The former Racing Club goalkeeper has impressed again at Udinese this season, keeping eight clean sheets for Luca Gotti's side.

Speaking to Spanish newspaper AS today (via FcInter1908.it), Musso said: "Ever since I was a child, my dream has been to play in the Champions League.

"I joined Udinese knowing that was my dream, although I also dreamed of playing in Serie A and I like Italy as a country.

"I have no doubt that that's what I want, to play in the Champions League."

Roma are also being linked with a move for Musso, as the Giallorossi seek a replacement for Pau Lopez in goal.

However, Paulo Fonseca's side are not guaranteed by any means to qualify for next season's Champions League, with Roma seven points off the top four in Serie A.

It remains to be seen whether this could tip the balance in Inter's favour, should the two clubs go head-to-head in a bid to acquire Musso's services.

[post_content] => Inter are continuing to study the possibility of signing Rodrigo de Paul and Juan Musso from Udinese, according to a leading Italian journalist today.

Both players are being linked persistently with the Nerazzurri as Antonio Conte chases reinforcements ahead of next season's UEFA Champions League.

In a column for TuttoMercatoWeb, Fabrizio Biasin confirmed Inter had not given up on bringing in De Paul and Musso in a possible double transfer swoop.

Everything depends on what happens to Inter at corporate level, he explained, which will inevitably influence the club's transfer plans.

De Paul has made 31 appearances in all competitions for Udinese this season, scoring six goals and providing seven assists for Luca Gotti’s side.

The Argentine is reportedly subject to interest from Paris Saint-Germain as well as Inter.

Musso has played 29 times during the current campaign, keeping eight clean sheets (including one against Inter in a goalless draw back in January).

[post_content] => Inter were forced to shelve plans to swoop for Udinese goalkeeper Juan Musso after the financial situation amongst owners Suning led to a block on incoming signings.

Suning have battled mounting debts and increasing financial concerns throughout the season and are seeking a minority partner to help fund the club until the end of the season and beyond.

As reported in today's newspaper edition of Tuttosport, this has had a wider impact on operations at Inter, including in the transfer market.

Directors Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio had been keen to provide greater competition to first choice goalkeeper Samir Handanovic whilst providing a longer-term option for the 36-year-old, identifying Udinese's Musso.

However, plans to put a deal in place for the Argentine have now been abandoned after the financial situation at the club mean incoming transfers will be limited this summer, just as they were in January.

The directors had hoped to emulate Juventus' approach of having Wojciech Szczesny and Gianluigi Buffon challenge for the position, as well as Napoli signing Alex Meret and David Ospina.
