This according to today's print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are likely to say goodbye to their captain, and that they are thinking about their strategy in goal in light of this fact.
Inter look likely to be in for a revolution in goal this summer.
Most notably, Andre Onana appears to have one foot out the door, just twelve months after arriving. Man United want to push for the Cameroonian's signature.
Should Onana be on his way, signing a like-for-like replacement will of course be a priority. Shakhtar Donetsk's Anatoliy Trubin is the favourite in this regard.
Atalanta’s Marco Carnesecchi and Valencia’s Giorgi Mamardashvili are also on Inter’s radar as Onana replacements.
However, it is not likely to be a simple matter of signing and replacing Onana.
Handanovic Exit Could Open The Door For Inter To Sign Navas Or Sommer
Inter captain Samir Handanovic is also currently out of contract with the Nerazzurri.
Whilst some recent reports have suggested that the Slovenian could decide to extend his stay, the Gazzetta report that it is in fact most likely that he will not sign a new deal and that this is the end of his eleven-year Inter adventure.
What this means is that Inter would have to sign a new backup keeper as well. They will not have their veteran captain around to help a new keeper like Trubin settle in as he had done with Onana last season.
Inter's strategy, then, could be to overhaul the goalkeeping department entirely. They would aim for a signing for the long term like Trubin, and then a more safe pair of hands.
Nottingham Forest and former Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain keeper Keylor Navas is one name on Inter's shortlist. So is experienced Bayern Munich and former Borussia Monchenlgadbach man Yann Sommer.
Inter could decide that the best way to replace Onana is, in a sense, by committee.
Rather than moving for a replacement first-choice and a replacement backup, per se, the Nerazzurri may well decide to bet on a player like Navas or Sommer as a reliable option for the immediate future.
Then, they would hope to give a younger player with high potential like Trubin time to find their feet in Milan.

This according to today's print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri already have a plan to reinvest a fee for the 27-year-old as they anticipate a sale isn't far away.
So far, Manchester United still haven't made an offer that satisfies Inter's price tag for Onana.
The Red Devils have reportedly put €45 million on the plate, add-ons included. The Nerazzurri have made clear that they want €60 million.
However, Tuttosport report, Inter have also given United an idea of how high they'll need to go.
The Premier League giants could soon offer €50 million plus add-ons. The more that United's offer creeps up towards Inter's valuation for Onana, the likelier a deal becomes.
And for their part, the Nerazzurri are expecting a new offer soon.
Inter believe that United are serious and that it's only a matter of time before the English club make the decisive bid.
Inter Have Firm Plans If Man United Complete Deal For Andre Onana
If Inter do sell Onana to United, they have a clear idea of what they'll do with the fee.
Getting in a big cash fee will be vital for a number of other incoming transfers. Accordingly, the Nerazzurri have several plans that they will set into motion quickly alongside a sale of the Cameroonian.
The first, naturally, would be signing a successor to Onana.
Shakhtar Donetsk’s Anatoliy Trubin, Atalanta’s Marco Carnesecchi, and Valencia’s Giorgi Mamardashvili are all on Inter’s radar to take Onana's place. Bayern Munich's Yann Sommer would represent a more experienced profile.
Then, there's striker Romelu Lukaku. Inter want to sign the Belgian right away, and a fee from Onana's sale would provide them the financial wiggle room necessary to make an offer that would convince Chelsea.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the Nerazzurri could be assisted in trying to sign the 21-year-old by his contract situation at Shakhtar.
Right now, Onana seems to have one foot at Inter and another at Man United.
The Nerazzurri aren't sure if the Red Devils will make the decisive move to sign the Cameroonian. However, if the right offer arrives they are ready to sell him.
Accordingly, the Nerazzurri are preparing for the possible departure of their starting keeper. Their search for replacements is in full swing.

Man United have made clear that they want Onana.
Red Devils coach Erik Ten Hag has indicated a clear preference for a goalkeeper capable of playing the ball with his feet. This is more or less pushing current United Number One David De Gea out the door.
Whilst the Spaniard hasn't been altogether exiled, it now looks likely that he'll leave at the expiration of his contract. United have already decided against a previously-agreed-upon extension for the 32-year-old.
Inter Milan & Man United To Accelerate Andre Onana Talks
That means that United want to quickly move for a replacement for De Gea.
Ten Hag, who worked with Onana at Ajax, has always made clear that he would like to move for the Cameroonian. Now, that appears to be United's plans.
The Premier League giants would want Onana in the squad for the start of their preseason in the first week of July. As such, they have no intention of waiting long to make a deal.
Neither do Inter.
The Nerazzurri won't be keen to have the transfer saga drag on into a protracted will-they-or-won't-they situation.
If Inter are to sell Onana, they want to rip the band-aid off right away. Then, they can move forward with receiving the fee, reinvesting in other areas, and replacing Onana.

An Andre Onana departure from Inter is looking more and more like a possibility for this summer.
Manchester United are pushing to sign the 27-year-old. The Red Devils would be prepared to make a massive money to sign Onana just one season after he joined Inter on a free transfer.
Reportedly, Inter want at least €50 million for the Cameroonian. Meanwhile, United are currently as high as €50 million in their offer.
With Inter now aware of the very real possibility that Onana will leave, securing a replacement is a priority.
A major hitch in the Nerazzurri’s succession plan for the Cameroonian has already emerged. Empoli star Guglielmo Vicario had been Inter’s top target to take Onana’s place.
However, the 26-year-old now on the verge of joining Tottenham Hotspur. The Londoners have wrapped up the signing of Vicario in a whirlwind deal which worth €19 million plus add-ons.

Rather than trying to sign a young player to nail down the starting keeper position for years to come, the Nerazzurri could instead aim to sign a veteran player who'd be a proven option on a low-cost deal.
Bayern Munich's Yann Sommer has been persistently linked.
Inter had already been thinking about signing the Swiss international this summer, as a free transfer. However, then Bayern snapped him up as an emergency replacement for captain Manuel Neuer who was out with an injury.
However, Neuer will in all likelihood reclaim his starting role in Bavaria soon.
Therefore, Bayern could open up to loaning Sommer out.
However, the 34-year-old is not the only experienced keeper Inter are looking at, according to the Gazzetta.

[post_content] => Inter Milan are targeting Davide Frattesi, Teun Koopmeiners, and Giorgi Mamardashvili among reinforcements with €90 million to reinvest from sales.
This according to today's print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who detail the Nerazzurri's ambitious plan to make three major sales and then replace the outgoing players with new arrivals.
Inter's outgoing transfer market is heating up.
Marcelo Brozovic is on the verge of leaving, with Al-Nassr the likely destination. The Nerazzurri will reportedly pocket €23 million from the Croat's sale.
Then, there is goalkeeper Andre Onana. The player's agent is reportedly in talks with Manchester United, and Inter will listen to the Red Devils' offers.
The Nerazzurri are prepared to sell the Cameroonian, though not for a fee of less than €50 million. United are reportedly ready to offer that amount plus add-ons as an opening bid.
Lastly, Robin Gosens appears out the door amid Union Berlin, Wolfsburg, Bournemouth, and Nottingham Forest interest.
Inter want at least €15 million for the former Atalanta star.
Inter Milan Targeting Frattesi, Koopmeiners, Mamardashvili, Augusto
All told, Tuttosport report, Inter expect to have around €90 million in transfer fees to reinvest in the market if they make the sales that they expect to over the coming days.
In midfield, the Nerazzurri are keen to wrap up a deal for Sassuolo and Italy star Davide Frattesi. Brozovic's departure would both open up a slot in the squad, and provide the fee to finance a deal for the 23-year-old.
On the other hand, Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopmeiners is also on Inter's radar as a midfield reinforcement. The Dutchman's wages would also be very affordable for the Nerazzurri.
As far as a replacement for Onana in goal, Tuttosport confirm reports that Inter want Valencia's Giorgio Mamardashvili. The 22-year-old Georgian international is ahead of Bayern Munich's Yann Sommer in their shortlist.
Lastly, Tuttosport report that the Nerazzurri want Monza's Carlos Augusto to replace Gosens.

[post_content] => Young Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili is the favourite to replace Man United target Andre Onana at Inter Milan.
This according to today's print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
An Andre Onana departure from Inter is looking increasingly likely for this summer.
Manchester United are pushing to sign the 27-year-old. The Red Devils would be prepared to make a massive money to sign Onana just one season after he joined Inter on a free transfer.
With Inter now aware of the very real possibility that Onana will leave, securing a replacement is a priority.
A major hitch in the Nerazzurri’s succession plan for the Cameroonian has already emerged. Empoli star Guglielmo Vicario had been Inter’s top target to take Onana’s place.
However, the 26-year-old now on the verge of joining Tottenham Hotspur.
As such, Inter will have to change their plans. If they are to accept an offer for Onana, the Nerazzurri must cast their net somewhere else to sign a replacement.
Inter Line Up Giorgi Mamardashvili To Replace Andre Onana
According to the Corriere, Inter already know who they want to sign to replace Onana. Valencia starket Mamardashvili is foremost among their targets.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed a real breakout season with Valencia during the campaign just gone.
In the prior season, his first after joining from Dynamo Tblisi, Mamardashvili had shared goalkeeping duties at Los Che with Jasper Cillessen and Jaume Domenech.
However, this time around, the Georgian has been the clear first-choice. He has started every one of Valencia’s 38 matches in the league.
Mamardashvili has earned a reputation as one of La Liga’s best goalkeepers based on the season just gone.
Chelsea are also reportedly tracking Mamardashvili.
Inter are now waiting to see whether United or any other club make the decisive push to sign Onana.
Should the Cameroonian leave, the Nerazzurri will move for Mamardashvili to replace him.

This according to today's print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are likely to say goodbye to their captain, and that they are thinking about their strategy in goal in light of this fact.
Inter look likely to be in for a revolution in goal this summer.
Most notably, Andre Onana appears to have one foot out the door, just twelve months after arriving. Man United want to push for the Cameroonian's signature.
Should Onana be on his way, signing a like-for-like replacement will of course be a priority. Shakhtar Donetsk's Anatoliy Trubin is the favourite in this regard.
Atalanta’s Marco Carnesecchi and Valencia’s Giorgi Mamardashvili are also on Inter’s radar as Onana replacements.
However, it is not likely to be a simple matter of signing and replacing Onana.
Handanovic Exit Could Open The Door For Inter To Sign Navas Or Sommer
Inter captain Samir Handanovic is also currently out of contract with the Nerazzurri.
Whilst some recent reports have suggested that the Slovenian could decide to extend his stay, the Gazzetta report that it is in fact most likely that he will not sign a new deal and that this is the end of his eleven-year Inter adventure.
What this means is that Inter would have to sign a new backup keeper as well. They will not have their veteran captain around to help a new keeper like Trubin settle in as he had done with Onana last season.
Inter's strategy, then, could be to overhaul the goalkeeping department entirely. They would aim for a signing for the long term like Trubin, and then a more safe pair of hands.
Nottingham Forest and former Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain keeper Keylor Navas is one name on Inter's shortlist. So is experienced Bayern Munich and former Borussia Monchenlgadbach man Yann Sommer.
Inter could decide that the best way to replace Onana is, in a sense, by committee.
Rather than moving for a replacement first-choice and a replacement backup, per se, the Nerazzurri may well decide to bet on a player like Navas or Sommer as a reliable option for the immediate future.
Then, they would hope to give a younger player with high potential like Trubin time to find their feet in Milan.
