Inter’s owners Suning are prepared to fund the signings of three top players in order to close the gap with arch rivals Juventus according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The first player that Suning will try bring to the Nerazzurri is RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner. Inter are one of several European clubs on his trail, with Liverpool also interested. If RB Leipzig win the Bundesliga he will cost €60 million, if they do not, it will be €50 million.

The second player is Paris Saint Germain and Uruguayan national team striker Edinson Cavani. The 33-year-old’s contract is expiring at the end of next month and having missed out on signing Dries Mertens, Inter want Cavani even more.

A move for Cavani all depends on what Paris Saint Germain do with Mauro Icardi. If they buy the Argentine outright then Cavani will certainly leave but if they do not Cavani could possibly stay at the club.

There is an array of names who could be the third top signing Suning try and make but they all share some things in common, they are all young, Italian and have plenty of potential. Those players are Fiorentina duo Federico Chiesa and Gaetano Castrovilli as well as Brescia’s Sandro Tonali
