Inter will use some of the funds raised through the permanent sale of Mauro Icardi to sign Stefano Sensi on a permanent basis according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Inter sold Icardi to Paris Saint-Germain for an initial €50 million plus €8 million in add-ons and will use €25 million of that money to sign Sensi on a permanent basis from fellow Serie A side Sassuolo.

Sensi joined Inter on a season long loan this past Summer with an option to buy set at the above amount attached. He started life in Nerazzurri in fine fashion but since October he has been in and out of the team due to a series of injury problems.

The 24-year-old Italian national team player has made 17 appearances across all competitions to date this term. In his time on the park, the former Cesena player has scored three goals and has provided four assists.
