RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner is yet to close the door on the possibility of joining Inter in the coming months according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

A few days ago Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio admitted that the German national team forward would not be coming to the club as he knows of his intentions, which include playing in the Premier League.

Liverpool have been strongly linked with making a move for him but have not come forward and this has opened the door for Inter.

Werner nor his wife have completely dismissed the idea of a move to Inter but the report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to state that Inter will not make any sort of move for him or other potential replacements, such as Edinson Cavani, until the future of Barcelona target Lautaro Martinez is clearer.
