Martin Montoya’s contract negotiations with Barcelona has been a long serial followed closely by among others Inter, who hoped to sign the player on a free transfer. Now, however, the defender has finally signed a new contract that will keep the Spaniard in Barcelona until 2018. The contract, which includes a buyout clause of 20 million euros, was officially announced on Barcelona’s website and according to TMW, other than the player and his agent, all senior executives of the club, from the president Bartomeu to sporting director Zubizarreta, were present when the contract was signed.
