Dejan Stankovic – despite the comments by the Inter coach and the president Erick Thohir that have downplayed the rumors – has triggered a small alarm. The club manager of Inter, in an interview by Premium Sport, let a “in life you never know…” slip when he was asked about the future of the coach. But then he specified: “He’s our coach and he has embraced the project: we believe in him.”
Stankovic also spoke of the team’s objectives, still fighting for third place: “As long as the math allows us we won’t give up. I doesn’t depend on us, it will be difficult, but why wouldn’t we believe in it? If we play like we did against Roma everything is possible.”
On Ivan Perisic, who is experiencing the best moment since joining Inter, Deki said: “I’m happy for him, he is proving his value and can still improve.” Adem Ljajic, however, continues with ups and downs: “Mancini is taking care of solving it. I speak a lot with him and try to help him and give him good advice in order to grow.”
He finishes by commenting on Stevan Jovetic, the biggest disappointment of the last summer’s transfer market: “He remains a great player and a talent. I’m sorry for the injuries that have stopped him, but now he will return to the national team and I’m sure that we will be able to lend a hand in this final part of the championship.”
