Icardi to Sky: “Individually we have the best players – We have to play as a team to win”

Mauro Icardi spoke with Sky after the 4-2 win against Fiorentina at the San Siro:

“Important win, we had to win and make a good performance. Our performance dropped in the second half just as it did in Israel, we have to improve on this. We must learn from our mistakes. The physical condition is not an excuse, I do not know whether the team is afraid to win, but we must do better, just as we did the first 6 months of last year.”

“Zhang Jindong did not tell us anything special. The company wants to be present and have come to wish us good luck. I do not know what to derive from this bad time, because the team is extraordinary, individually, we have one of the best players, but we have to play as a team on the pitch in order to win.”

Who’s better me or Dzeko? He has made more career goals (laughs). I do my end of the year and we will see where we will arrive.
