Caen have confirmed the departure of Yann Karamoh to Inter through way of a statement on their club website. Karamoh joins the Nerazzurri on a two year loan with Inter having an option to redeem him. To facilitate the move, Karamoh extended his contract with the French outfit for a further two seasons through to 2020.

so how bad is Barbosa if we loan him and get Yann? this transfer makes you really think doesn’t it?

  • ezekiel

    welcome karamoh..^^

  • Alex

The Chinese government really $screwed us over with their policies. We could have easily have one of the best transfer windows among everyone in Serie A by signing Karamoh and Mustafi…

    • FCINTER

Unfortunately that’s what you get when a communist regime is in control. Businesses and entrepreneurs do not have a freedom of commerce.

    benvenuto yann karomah

  • JAY

    wow surprisingly a good deal

  • Inter4ever

    Welcome to Inter.
    Now focus on another CB.

  • Bruno Tome

    Welcome Yann Karamoh!

  • Este19

From what little I’ve seen, I’m not super-hyped about him or anything. But at least now I’m marginally less nervous about what the hell happens if one of our wingers goes down, with Eder being essentially our sole sub up-front before now. Have to admit I wonder a little if it wouldn’t have been better to just keep Jovatic, but I guess Karamoh will save us a lot of money with his lower salary.

Still bamboozled that we haven’t gotten a CB.

    • Azzkikr

He is just another talent. No intended to make an impact in the senior team at all.

He will no doubt be loaned out in the winter mercato.

      • Alex

Lol Typical Grumpy Grandpa comment… They guys hasn’t even stepped on the field yet. Gabi is on his way to Benfica. Karamoh can play LW,RW, and AM. He will get plenty of shot to play and prove himself.

        • Azzkikr

Grumpy? There is nothing grumpy about my post. You seem to an incredibly hard time differentiating between delusional optimism, pessimism and neutral objectivity when it comes to opinions here. You might want to work on that.

Earlier when Inter was first linked to this guy (before they switched Emre Mor and all that crap), the intention was to sign Karamoh and then immediately send him on loan. Now there is no time to do that for obvious reasons, but i doubt the intention has changed considering we are talking about such a young player here. Thats why its pretty logical to think that he will be sent on loan in january.

And he IS just a 19 year old talent, light years from being capable to make any real impact.

          • Pick

Yeah just like Mbappe,Donarumma,Rashford,Dembele…they are also too young to make impact in senior team

          • Wiktor Łosin

One question man. How can we sent him on loan if he is already loaned to Inter for 2 years?

          • Søren

Well, he is bought as a back-up who can cover many positions. So if needed, he will get the chance to make that impact.
Besides, he was mentioned as the best player for Caen last season in spite of his young age. He comes with first team experience from European football. I am not comparing him with a superstar or anything, but at least give him a chance.
Kovacic also came from the Croatian league and got playing time relatively fast. Of course he had CL experience, but came from a weaker league. Karamoh might prove a great surprise.
Oh! And you are forgetting that besides experience, hw is build for a physical league. He is not a tiny Gabigol or Coutionho, he has the frame to compete already.

        • I miss Marco Branca at Inter !

inter plays once a week so he’s lucky to see the field during Coppa Italia !

      • Este19

I believe the team must think him capable of at least stepping in if there are injury problems, because it’s just absurd how thin we are up front if Ivan or Candreva go down. Yeah there’s Cancelo, but he’s hurt right now, plus we supposedly bought him more as a RB than a RW.

Also, can we even loan a player we don’t own…?

      • il Biscione

How can we loan him when he is at Inter on loan? Basically if and when he needs to go on loan we can’t loan him or?

        • Azzkikr

Im not sure how that works tbh.

But Dodo was on a 2 year loan here and Inter loaned him out to samp after 1½ year in january of the 15/16 season, so i assume its possible one way or another.

          • Facchetti

Dodo was a one year loan with obligation to buy. After that he was loaned out. You can’t loan out something you don’t own…

    • JAY

everyday i take a bit hit in my head how we are dealing in the transfers

      • Este19

Pretty much. I wanted Schick, you wanted Keita, we got… this guy. Yay? Agree with Azzkikr that I don’t see him making a big impact here right away, more just an emergency depth thing.

The funny part though is I believe in Spalletti enough that I think we will still have our best year in awhile despite a really meh transfer window.

        • kofko

I bet you said the same thing for scriniar

          • Este19

You’d be wrong. Liked that signing from the beginning. Serie A experience and looked good with Sampdoria last year.

        • Alex

Omg… you guys are drama queens. We have the best (or one of the) strikers in Europe and you complain about wanting Schick? Balde is useless when our primary starter is Candreva ahead of him.

          • Este19

Not so useless if Candreva or Perisic get hurt. If we could guarantee they’d be healthy then of course we don’t need a quality player behind them. But we can’t.

          • Alex

Perisic is irreplaceable just like Icardi… No matter who we put in. Candreva on the other hand is expendable… And we have Karamoh Cancelo and Eder to step up. I’m only worried about the person that is going to back up Miranda…

          • Wiktor Łosin

30 mln for Balde and 40 mln for Schick. Pretty much for benchwarmers in our financial situation. Understandable decision.

          • I miss Marco Branca at Inter !

30 mln for Balde and 40 mln for Schick is better than 30 mill for Gabi-one-Gol and 40 mill for Kondogbia !

          • Pick

They have now learned about 200 million transfers, so they think cheaper players can not walk

        • FCINTER

Spalletti will seriously be our engine, motivation, and brain this season. I will not talk anything poor of him considering how average this mercato has been.

          • Pick

But smart mercato. He gets players he wanted:Borja,Vecino,Dalbert all useful for his system

          • Este19

I definitely like most of our signings. Borja and Skriniar are fantastic, Vecino seems solid if unspectacular. I am super-psyched for Dalbert, and also hoping Cancelo can take D’Ambro’s starting spot from him.

That said, we’ve all wanted Rano gone for what seems like forever, and we finally had interest in him from England. And somehow, we sold Murillo yet couldn’t manage to sign a veteran presence to back up Miranda/Skriniar. That seems pretty sad. CBs get more red cards than anyone. And our choices when that happens are Rano, a youth prospect, or playing D’Ambro out of position.

Similar to CB, even if we’re not in a Euro tournament, I was less than super-comfortable with selling Jovetic and leaving only Eder to back up the front line, with Cancelo hurt. Yeah it seems like Mario can play on the wing in a pinch, but I’d rather see him starting in midfield, since Gaglia’s looked bad lately and Brozo has a questionable attitude and is poor in defense. Would’ve liked to see one more proven forward brought in, even if it wasn’t a $30mil world-beater. I don’t dislike the Karamoh signing at all in itself, it’s just that I’d be nervous if we ended up having to rely on a teenager we bought last-second.

          • Pick

Who cares if he is teenager if he is good.He will surely get his chances during races.

        • welfrich sianturi

please dude, this is not football manager

        • JAY

keita went to monaco to play with jovetic , watch how he will brake the worlds transfer fee

    • il Biscione

We are lacking depth so bad. If this Karamoh bet doesn’t work Spalletti will have to lace his playing boots and step on the field himself. Or maybe JZ still trains and can play for us?

      • Alex

Cancelo will also step up. We are only in two competitions. I’m only worried about CB…

        • il Biscione

Maybe Brozo or JM can play on the wings. We don’t need a cb – we have Rano lol.

  • ROGUE LW

Hope he does well. Forza INTER
