In an interview with TMW Magazine, the ex-sporting director of Brescia Gianluca Nani had the following to say about the mercato of the Italian clubs: “Inter performed well during this year’s mercato, very intelligent and smart although they were restricted by the FIFA Fair Play rules. Also Milan had an important mercato, Juventus lost some players but as ususal they have the capacity to strike at the right time and Roma did what they could do- To sum it up the Italian Sporting Directors have performed well, maybe best of everyone, since a lot of strong players together with young talents have arrived”.
