Inter could soon meet with Wanda Nara, the agent – and wife – of captain Mauro Icardi to discuss a new contract Premium Sport report. Icardi signed a new contract last year which includes a €110 million release clause which is only valid for foreign clubs. However, after recent activity in the transfer window that saw Neymar go for over double that figure, Inter intend to at least double the 24 year old’s release clause. Alternatively, Inter could completely block Icardi transferring elsewhere, similarly to how they handled Ivan Perisic during the summer. A new contract would also see Icardi’s get an ‘important’ raise to his current €4.5 million annual salary.

Icardi is under contract at the San Siro through to 2021 and has made just shy of 150 competitive appearances and scored 83 goals since arriving in 2013 from Sampdoria.
