Milan Skriniar is Inter’s defensive leader. Arrived in nerazzurri colours with a bit of skepticism, but only from those who did not know him and preferred the big name player over the potential of a young player. He immediately settled in Milan, becoming a pillar of Luciano Spalletti’s team. The centre back is not afraid of responsibilities in the field and out. He did not suffer from the great jump from Sampdoria to the Beneamata and has turned out to be already crucial in the green rectangle of play.

Even Patrik Schick could have taken his same path, from Genoa to Milan. However his price rose too high, which forced Inter to pull out of the deal, with Walter Sabatini explaining how Inter “do not participate in auctions.” And so the Czech striker ended up in Rome.

This summer Milan has often talked to Patrik, trying to convince him to choose the Nerazzurri shirt. The two developed a close friendship whilst at Sampdoria, and Skriniar told Patrik about all the good things about Inter, but in the end Inter did not want to match Roma’s offer.
