Inter’s Italian full-back Danilo D’Ambrosio has started this season in a very positive manner, much to the surprise of the Nerazzurri faithful who have long been critical of the lack of quality of full-backs in the squad.

However during yesterday’s 2-1 win away against Hellas Verona at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi, D’Ambrosio reverted back to his old sins by reminding everyone watching of his clumsy alter-ego when amongst other things, being responsible in the lead-up to the penalty which former Inter striker Giampaolo Pazzini converted. The former Torino defender gave an all-round very unconvincing performance which was not in line with his recent impressive matches.

Former Inter defender turned pundit,Fulvio Collovati, expressed these sentiments when speaking to TMW Radio: “He has had a great season until now, but against Hellas Verona he looked lost and lazy, especially in the situation that led to the penalty. Overall his match deserves a rating of 5 out of 10.”
