Brazilian side, Cruzeiro’s new owners are preparing to bring in a new striker to suit their needs. They would like to find a young and dynamic striker who can pick up his teammates, put the team on his back and score when needed.

SuperEsporte reports that given the aforementioned traits, it is believed that Bolivian international Marcelo Moreno and Inter’s Gabigol are a few potential names on Cruzeiro’s wish list.

Gabigol is currently on loan at Benfica from Inter but has struggled for game time while in Portugal. Moreno on the other hand is on the books of Chinese second division club Wuhan Zall and scored 23 in 29 games in the recently finished season.

When asked on the rumours circulating in the media, the new Sporting Director, Itair Machado did not reveal any players the club are interested in bringing in.

“We’ll talk with Mano during the week, but it is clear that as far as the attacker is concerned, we are already on the market, but we will not name them. The idea is to buy a striker that is not static during the attack.”
