We saw signs of the Arturo Vidal of old in Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga win against Augsburg and this was pleasing for manager Jupp Heynckes who hopes to see the Chilean midfielder return to the kind of form he showed when he managed him at Bayer Leverkusen. The Chilean’s form at that time earned him a move to Juventus during the summer of 2011.

ESPN report that Heynckes had a private chat with his midfielder in a bid to try and force a change in his midfield talent: “I had a one to one with him a couple of weeks ago. I told him I wasn’t satisfied with his physical condition in general. I added that if he wanted to play he had to change something. He didn’t quite see it the same way as me, but from that moment he has changed his training methods. This week he was fantastic in training. I know what he is capable of from my time working with him at Bayer Leverkusen. I want him to play as he did in his first year there, scoring and working hard for the team. This is what I expect of him.”

Arturo Vidal was linked with a move to Inter in the summer transfer market and there are still rumours that the Nerazzurri may even attempt to make a move for the midfielder again in the January transfer window.
