Roma and calcio icon Francesco Totti spoke on his former coach Luciano Spalletti’s Inter side being at the top of the table.

Totti and the current Inter manager’s difficult relationship last season was well known and Totti’s response when asked on his former coach’s success this season reflected that.

“Spalletti first in the standings…I think of Rome and that is it,” the former striker told Sky Sports.

The 41-year-old, who retired at the end of last season after 25 years on the Giallorossi’s books, proceeded to speak about Inter as a whole and their start to the season.

“I think Inter is a great team and it is right that they are first in the standings, since they have never lost a game in the league yet.”

Since retiring from playing, the 2006 World Cup winner has remained active in the footballing world and currently serves as a director on Roma’s board.
