Former Inter hot prospect Nicola Ventola spoke on Inter’s unbeaten start to the season and their scudetto credentials.

“Compared to the others fighting for the scudetto, Luciano Spalletti’s team has no cups and this is certainly an advantage that allows him to close the gap with Juventus and Napoli this season.”

Ventola then heaped praise on the Nerazzurri boss and Inter midfielder Borja Valero.

“I think Spalletti was the best purchase Inter made in the summer. Borja Valero is an important player, he never loses a ball and starts off the attacking moves well.”

Ventola joined Inter aged 20 and there were very high hopes for him at the club especially after his first season. However, he was unable to perform on a regular basis and found himself loaned out no less than three times. He retired from football aged just 33 back in 2011 and is now a football pundit.
