Alfredo Pedulla has suggested that Inter are not the only team chasing the signature of Barcelona’s Spanish winger Gearard Deulofeu. The Sportitalia journalist suggested that Napoli are also in the hunt to sign the ex Milan and Everton midfielder this January saying: “Deulofeu would be an ideal signing for Sarri and his style of play. He has a contract at Barcelona until 2019, Barcelona are now looking to conclude the signing of Coutinho from Liverpool. It is also true that Inter are also keen on Deulofeu but Napoli  unlike others would look to buy the player now opposed to a loan signing. There has also been talk of Simone Verdi of Bologna but it seems likely that he will see out the remainder of the season at Bologna.”

He then went on to talk technically about Deulofeu saying: “Sarri likes the type of player who has a turn of pace and is able to add a bit of technical ability to his side. In his Napoli side Deulofeu could play in all three roles in attack: false nine up top or in place of Insigne and Callejon on either wing. Let’s see what happens with him in the next few days. I expect a lot of plot twists yet.”
