There is to be a battle between Inter and Napoli for the signature of Barcelona winger Gerard Deulofeu according to Tuttosport’s latest report on the Spaniard’s situation amid continued interest from many clubs.
With the World Cup on the horizon and the ambition of making the squad, Deulofeu is now determined to leave the Catalan club in order to make his dream a reality.
The 24-year-old winger met with Barcelona officials yesterday to discuss his future at the Nou Camp where he revealed he was willing to move on and that he had an agreement in principal with Inter.
Tuttosport however insist that there is still no deal with Inter between the clubs due to them wanting different transfer formula’s. The Blaugrana would prefer an outright sale but Inter, due to Financial Fair Play, would prefer to sign the former Milan man on loan with an option to turn the move permanent.
Deulofeu is seen by Napoli as an alternative to Bologna’s Simone Verdi, who has also been linked with Inter in recent weeks.

But the reason cause they don’t love so much Deu as a player is basically the SAME reason why they got rid of Icardi so easily from their academy:
” His style of play does not fit well in the Tiki Taka system”.
That is one very important factor in Barcelona.
Icardi was too much of a ” just in the box pure and only striker ” type of classical 9.
Deulofeu instead , at times is too “flashy , flairy , I sometimes dribble a second man after having dribbled the first ” type of player ,which breaks down the tiki taka rhythm a bit.
But the Spaniard NT does not seem to mind and they keep on calling Deulofeu regularly to be a part of the squad.
And I believe he would be just PER-FECT for us.
The battle is very simple,the player is happy coming back to Milan and San Siro and is happy with the name and tradition of Inter..
Barca want its clause of 20-22 m. mwhich is not too high at all .
Can we give it to them ?
Otherwise they will let him go only to whomever can pay the 20m ,like Napoli.

20 m for Deu it’s a steal.
He carried Milan single handedly last season ,I don’t know if you followed that ,but it’s a fact
yes in green milan last year, in good barca he struggles all the time even that young dembele was injured and he just didnt performe. you want us to upgrade or keep getting average players that cant lift us up.
