Former Inter winger Luis Figo spoke on the future of club captain Mauro Icardi among other Inter related topics in an interview with Corriere della Sera

“It is clear that it would not be good for Inter or Italian football to lose big players but clubs have their own policies and projects, so Inter will make their own decisions,” Figo said on Icardi who has drawn links to some of the European elite recently.

Figo proceeded to discuss the race for the scudetto and Inter’s chances of winning it.

“I hope Inter win it. Juventus and Napoli are strong, and I hope to see a three-way battle, with Inter in the running for the Scudetto.”

He concluded the interview by reflecting on his time with the club.

“My time at Inter was terrific. After Real Madrid, I had the chance to play at a high level again. When I arrived, Inter had started winning again and it was great, as was my relationship with the fans. Milan will always be a happy memory for me.”
