Today at around 18.30 CET, a meeting in Barcelona between Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio and Barcelona management was concluded. The purpose of the meeting was to come to an agreement for Brazilian center midfielder Rafinha’s proposed move to Inter, on a loan deal during this winter’s transfer market. According to reports from Premium Sport, there is some optimism for the deal finally coming through, a deal that should be defined by the formula of a loan with the right to buy outright at the end of the season, as for now it seems that the two parties are closer.

But reports from Sky Sports are not as optimistic and say there is still some work to be done. To convince Barcelona, Inter executives insist on involving Mazinho, Rafinha’s father and agent who will try to repeat his son’s will to move to Milan to Barcelona directors to convince them to accept the deal offered by Inter. As for now there is an agreement on the right of redemption, what is missing is an agreement on the exact figure for the redemption.
