Inter’s Slovenian goalkeeper Samir Handanovic was interviewed by Inter TV after the disappoiting 2-0 loss away against Genoa at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris in Genoa’s Marassi district.

The former Udinese keeper began by stating that “Sometimes you do not achieve what you really want. During the second half we entered the pitch with the right attitude, to turn this game around, but Genoa defended themselves really well.”

Handanovic was then asked if the 2-0 goal pulled the rug from under their feet saying that: “What is clear is that we have to find positive things in these times of disappointment and face the next couple of games with a bit of enthusiasm. Right now a lot of things are happening, I do not believe in circumstances, today things just went wrong. But we do not have any excuses, we have to play every game like it is the last one. Every team has to be faced based upon how they set up, whether it is a team that defends or whether it is a team that attacks.”

In conclusion Handanovic was asked if there is a lesson to be learned from the loss replying that: “Games like this, when the opponent scores two goals in two shots, I have played a lot. Now we just have to look ahead and concentrate on the games that remains, games that mean a lot.”
