Inter and Valencia could soon open up talks about changing either the amount of Joao Cancelo’s redemption fee or the way in which it is paid according to a report from Spanish news outlet SuperDeporte.

The Portuguese full back joined Inter on loan in the summer and Inter have a purchase option which is set at €35 million. With a series of good performances, he has presented Inter with plenty of reasons to turn his temporary stay at the San Siro in to a permanent one.

As yet, it is unclear how much Inter are perhaps wanting to reduce the fee by or if they intend to pay the fee in instalments and if so, in how many.

SuperDeporte further report that Geoffrey Kondogbia’s redemption fee will not be affected and his fee still stands at €25 million if Valencia wish to – and currently look likely to – activate. The French midfielder joined Valencia in a similar deal to Cancelo’s last summer and appears to have got his career back on track after a tough period at Inter.
