Inter coach Luciano Spalletti was asked to comment on the disappointing defeat away against Torino by Italian TV channel Premium Sport.

The Nerazzurri coach began by analyzing what he thought his team could have done better stating that: “In certain parts of the match we didn’t move the ball fast enough and with less quality in comparison with other occasions but it would not be right to speak about fatigue.”

“The match was also played well but we only had to pay attention to their counter-attacks and in some instances we weren’t able to. It seemed to me that today the ball simply couldn’t go in, that it wouldn’t go in, in any way at all” Spalletti continued.

In conclusion the former Roma tactician was asked how Inter could have made the most of Icardi replying that: “Every idea could be the right one, I am just saying that overall we did what we had to do. We had to only be more lucid and cleaner in certain situations. Mauro gave a good performance today as well, he was always closed off by three defenders and when he managed to find some space the goalkeeper did really well.”
