There is now under 50 days until the 2018 FIFA World Cup kick’s off in Russia and managers of the qualified nations are now beginning the process of working out which players to take and which players to leave at home.

Brazil manager Tite has been rather outspoken about his team selection and admitted that he has already decided upon a large number of players who will make up his final squad as Brazil seek World Cup glory for the sixth time in their history.

Inter defender Miranda is one such player and Brazilian news outlet Diaro Catarinense reports that Tite is set on using Miranda and Marquinhos at the heart of the defence but still must pick a reserve.

The veteran defender, whose Inter contract runs until the end of the current season, has 44 international caps to his name to date and could well hit half a century depending on Brazil’s progress at the World Cup.
