Important days lay ahead for Inter’s Slovakian international central defender Milan Skriniar who recently underwent eye surgery in order to get rid of myopia. Meanwhile Inter turned down a huge offer from José Mourinho’s Manchester United, Gazzetta dello Sport reports.

According to the report José Mourinho presented his former club with a mega-money offer in the region of €65 million and is prepared to go up to €80 million: “but that does not matter because Inter’s position is that Skriniar will not move.”

The Gazzetta report further that meanwhile “discussions regarding a contract renewal and extension are taking place in the background. Yesterday, his agent Karol Csonto had a quick meeting with Ausilio in order to fix the last details of that contract.”

This means that the 23-year old defender, who arrived last summer from Sampdoria in a transfer worth €28 million, is one step away from signing an extension with Inter that keeps him at the club until the end of June 2023. The new deal will see Skriniar raising his salary to €2.2 million net per season from the €1,5 million net per season specified in his current contract with the Inter.
