Rafinha could still make a return to Inter in the event that Matias Vecino departs the club according to a report from Tuttosport.

Vecino, who is currently at the World Cup with Uruguay, has drawn interest from Premier League club Chelsea in particular and his transfer fee could help Inter well on their way to possibly presenting Barcelona with a new offer for the Brazilian.

Rafinha enjoyed a six month loan spell with the Nerazzurri last season and played a role in helping Inter return to the Champions League. Inter had a deal with Barcelona wherein they had the option to redeem him at the end of the season but for financial fair play reasons, Inter chose to pass up on the opportunity, much to the disappointment of the 25-year-old, who showed a clear desire to remain in Milan past the loan spell.

The Turin based newspaper report that Barcelona may be reluctant to accept another loan with redemption option deal though based on what happened so Inter may be forced to buy him outright.
