Inter defender Danilo D’Ambrosio is seemingly set to sign a new contract with the Nerazzurri according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

The 29-year-old defender is to be handed a one-year extension to his current contract and the extension will see him tied to the club through to the end of the 2021/22 season.

D’Ambrosio has been with Inter since the January transfer window of the 2013/14 season following a transfer from Torino and has since gone on to represent the club close to 150 times with a total of 139 appearances across all competitions that has saw the Italian international score 10 goals and assist a further 11 goals.

The report also states that D’Ambrosio’s name was brought up as his agent Vincenzo Pisacane held talks with Napoli over the future of one of his other clients Amato Ciciretti but Inter have no interest in selling the full back who is equally comfortable playing on either flank.
