Latest Inter signing Keita Baldé is considered by Inter coach Luciano Spalletti to be the final piece of the puzzle that completes Inter’s attack which is why he wanted the player so badly.

Milano based newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport focuses on three key points when it comes down to the player’s abilities in today’s paper edition:

Keita’s talents

“In his technical tool-kit, he has the characteristics of a good counter-attack player with high speed. Last season Inter were a team that always ended up in the opponents penalty area but had trouble creating numerical superiority. After Politano, there is now another guy who can pass his man through dribbling, in Monaco he did this 30 times, the season before with Lazio 53. This dribbling can also be followed by a shot and since his best foot (although he can shoot with both feet) is the right one, it will be better to start from the left side.”

Keita’s discipline

“During his time in Lazio, Keita could win the games by himself, playing with his opponents as well as with his teammates during practice. Sometimes he ended up outside of the squad or even outside the stadium but Inter wants to focus on reasoning, after all it was the Senegalese who chose Inter.”

Keita in Spalletti’s tactics:

“Keita was born as an attacking offensive player, and this is how Vladimir Petkovic, the Lazio coach at the time, made him play in his debut in the Serie A. On which side does he prefer to play? Keita is right-footed, but that is something that sometimes can be hard to see since his left-foot is almost as good. Therefore the easiest way is to put him on the left side, but could as easily be placed on the right-side. But he is only 23 and there is a long time left for him to change his way of playing. In Lazio he could also play as striker or as a trequartista.”
