The Nerazzurri captain begain by stating that: “After the enormous disappointment from last Tuesday, it was very important to get the win today. But we should have done better in the first half, and should have got the 3 points then, but the most important thing today was to get the win.”

“I had to mix things up a bit, because I had already taken my penalties in every way you possibbly can. The goalkeeper had already looked at me and I decided to go this way. I had to score, at the end of the day that is what counts.”
A victory that sends you in the right way in the standings?
“We are there and we can return to the Champions League, we will try to do our best.”
Where can Inter end up in the Europa League?
“In football you never know, in the Champions League we had a great group stage, starting from the 4th seeding pot, we have proven that we can achieve great things.”
The next challenge will be Chievo Verona?
“We will prepare ourselves in the best possible way, as we do every week. Finally we have a ‘long’ week in order to prepare ourselves, so we will try to do our best. We will try to do good in these last couple of games before the break and to work hard. Our goal is to enter the break with the best form as possible, both physically and mentally.”
