Luciano Spalletti knows that his future with Inter is coming to an end, but he does not intend to give up but he is determined to secure Champions League for Inter, for the second season in a row, in what he has described as the game of his life. Beat Empoli to secure qualification, simple.

Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport reports that “The Tuscan coach feels alienated by the club, but in the clubs defence you can argue, why would they tolerate such a big collapse this season.”

“Now, just like 12 months ago, Inter find themselves in the same position as they were against Lazio at the Olimpico, with everything to play for in the last 90 minutes of the season.”

“Spalletti has accepted that Conte will replace him and this may of had an affect on some of the players, but there is still no excuse for the result this past Sunday. While Spalletti might be  a professional, he is also human and there is no doubt that these rumours have had an affect on him.”

“Around 65-70,000 fans are expected to be present to support the team against Empoli. Even the third tier has been opened.”

“Hopefully, with a win they can celebrate Champions League and look forward to a better Summer market with Antonio Conte at the wheel.”
