Arturo Vidal has not sustained a serious injury according to Inter’s official club broadcaster Inter TV, which was broadcast a short time ago.

The Chilean national team midfielder made his first start for Inter following his recent arrival from Barcelona as Inter ran out 5-2 winners away to newly promoted Benevento at the Stadio Ciro Vigorito on Wednesday evening.

Vidal took a knock in the match and had to leave the field of play as a result shortly after the second half commenced but as per Inter TV, it is nothing serious and the experienced midfielder, who Inter had courted for over a year before landing him, has simply sustained a bruised thigh from a collision.

Although not serious, it does remain to be seen whether or not Vidal will be available for this weekend’s match against Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico which is scheduled to take place early on Sunday afternoon.
