Juventus are reportedly keen to sign Genoa star Albert Gudmundsson who is also a renowned transfer target of Inter Milan.

The 26-year-old has been delighting fans and observers alike since the start of the season. He has cemented himself as one of the best revelations of the Serie A campaign.

The Icelandic star is by no means a centre-forward, but still managed to find the back of the net on 15 occasions in all competitions. He also produced four assists in 32 outings for the Grifone.

Gudmundsson’s exploits surely haven’t gone unnoticed, with a host of clubs vying for his services.

According to Tuttosport via FcInterNews, Juventus are showing serious interest in the Iceland international.

The Bianconeri are willing to battle for the player’s signature against Inter and possibly Tottenham Hotspur.

Inter Milan Facing Competition From Juventus For Genoa Star Albert Gudmundsson

The growing interest in the attacker will be music to the ears of the Genoa directors who will be counting on a bidding war to drive the price up.

The Ligurians already value their prized asset at 35 million euros. This figure would ensure them an enormous profit, as they had only paid just above 1M to sign the player from AZ Alkmaar in January 2022.

Gudmundsson currently earns 1.2 million euros and his contract with Genoa runs until the summer of 2027.

Nevertheless, the talented star will expect a net salary of at least 3 million euros once he makes the jump to the top European side.

Inter will bolster their ranks with Mehdi Taremi and Piotr Zielinski who will arrive as free agents in June. So it remains to be seen if they’ll also launch a concrete onslaught for Gudmundsson.
