The future being anything but certain for Massimo Moratti’s  treble winning side of 2010, the Inter supremo has already begun planning for how a future Inter-squad could look. Back in 2008 the Nerazzurri President travelled back and forth between Milan and Paris and waited to the very last moment before he agreed terms with a certain José Mourinho. This time around, almost 4 years later, President Moratti has changed the venue from where he last found a ‘special’ manager from the french capital Paris to call on André Villas-Boas as well as Fabio Capello in London. Italian Sky Sports 24 reports that President Moratti often travels to London on business matters for the family company, Sara’s, but during his last visit to the English capital he found time to take care of a quite a few pieces of business on behalf of Inter as well. Moratti is said to have had a formal meeting with André Villas-Boas over dinner at the Portuguese tacticians hotel Zafferano, famous for their Italian cuisine with Libanese influences. The dinner was set up in order for both parties to get better acquainted in order to examine if a possible working relationship is at all workable. This formal dinner has reportedly gone down really well and the parties seem to have enjoyed the evening.

However, Sky reports further that Moratti also had time to meet with former England manager Fabio Capello as well. Moratti was reportedly seen together with the 65-year old former AC Milan, Real Madrid and England manager who lives in the area where the Inter no. 1 stayed. The meeting that took place was said to not have been planned beforehand and therefore was less formal, Sky Sports reporting that this meeting was more a meeting to talk football in general rather than hamring out the final details for Capello to take over the Inter hotseat. However, André Villas-Boas and Capello were not the only tacticians the Inter President has met during the past few weeks as Sky Sports 24 pundit Gianluca Di Marzio not only confirms the aforementioned duo but throws in Les Bleus manager Laurent Blanc into the mix as well. Di Marzio reports that the official explanation given for Blanc’s visit to the European fashion-capital was to monitor stopper Phillippe Mexés progress at cross-town rivals AC Milan, but according to the same source Moratti and the former Inter defender, Blanc, are reported to have met for a brief chat.

It is still far to early to call who will replace Claudio Ranieri at the end of the season, but one thing is certain, the Inter President is already planning for the future in order to avoid this years abysmal results.
