As we reported yesterday the Brazilian giants Corinthians have increased their ownership with regards to the rights to the Brazilian international midfielder Paulinho. Today this was confirmed via Corinthians homepage which stated that the club has paid the BMG group 5 million Euros to increase its holdings in the rights to the player up to 50%, with the other half being controlled by the BMG-group. Also the club states that they have extended the players contract until 2015, as well as reporting that they now have the final words with regards to any offers coming in for the player. Despite having renewed their engagement with the player it is believed that Corinthians don’t expect to hang on to the player and are reportedly going to consider offers during the FIFA World Club Cup. Branca & Ausilio have placed Inter at pole position in the race to sign the player, mainly due to the close contacts the Nerazzurri directors have had with the players entourage which has sparkled rumours that there already is a verbal agreement in place in principle between Inter and the players representatives.
