It is hardly a secret that Fernando Llorente’s contract with Athletic Bilbao is set to expire in June 2013 and its also no secret that Inter are very keen on trying to steal the player from right under Juventus noses. According to the President of the Basque club, Josu Urrutia who held a pressconference earlier today, the rumours currently circulating in the media regarding the players future are all untrue: “I have heard many unfounded claims regarding the future of Fernando Llorente. He has remained with us becuase we have complete faith in him, he is our player and I hope that he will be able to score many more goals for us. We still consider him to be a great player and if he is willing we are ready to sit down and discuss a renewal of his contract” Urrutia stated. The problem, however, seems to be that Llorente himself has decided it’s time to move on.
