During todays pressconference ahead of their World Cup qualifying fixture away to Armenia, Italy boss Cesare Prandelli was asked about the suitability of selecting Andrea Ranocchia who is rumoured to be under suspiscion by the authorities for his involvement in the match-betting scandal Calcioscomesse: “Ranocchia has been selected quite often by his club so I can’t see any reasona s to why we can’t use him in the national team. We have several players who are suspected of being involved but who get to play, we shouldn’t judge people before they can have a fair trial” Prandelli states.
