Samir Handanovic’s Slovenia have beaten Cyprus 2-1 in a 2014 World Cup qualifier played at the Stadion Ljudski vrt in Maribor this evening. Tim Matavz was the matchwinner with goals either side of half time (38 and 61), before Efstathios Aloneftis pulled one back for the Cypriots in the 83rd minute.

The Nerazzurri goalkeeper played the whole match.
