Cagliari manager Ivo Pulga was very happy with his teams performance when he was interviewed by Italian Sky: “To come to San Siro and to leave with one point is quite an undertaking and an achievement. We thought that we were going to win, so it’s a pity about the own-goal. I have to say that the team demonstrated today that they go to every stadium with the mentality that they want to take a point with them by playing football. I want to thank this group. We prepared for a very intense and speedy match and this was exactly how the match was played. We risked a lot byt playing like this but then again we also had several goalscoring opportunities. Our willingness to sacrifice ourselves was integral. Out President is also very happy with this result” Pulga concluded.
Perhaps what’s most astounding is the fact that Ivo Pulga wasn’t asked a single question about the serious penalty-kick shout Inter had when Ranocchia was fouled.
