Chivu’s 200th time in Serie A

Cristian Chivu will be making his 200th appearance in the Italian top flight if he should feature in tonight’s game. The Romanian defender’s 199 to date have come wearing the colours of Roma and Inter. He made his Serie A debut on 14 September 2003, in Roma 5-0 Brescia.

No bore draws for Inter in 2012/13

Inter and Roma are the only two teams in the current championship campaign yet to play out a 0-0 draw. The Nerazzurri’s last goalless encounter was away to Fiorentina on 22 April 2012, 38 league matches ago.

Nerazzurri without a penalty in 23 games

Stramaccioni’s team have been awarded just three penalties in the 2012/13 Serie A. The last spot kick given in Inter’s favour was against Juventus on November 3 2012, Milito converting to level at 1-1 before the Nerazzurri went on to win 3-1.

Inter’s 15-and-a-half-year barren patch at the San Paolo

Inter last left Naples with all three points on 19 October 1997, when Galante (10) and a Turrini own goal (69) sealed a 2-0 success. In the Nerazzurri’s following eight encounters at the San Paolo, they have collected just three draws while Napoli have won the other five. What’s more, Inter have scored on just one occasion: Eto’o netted with 15 minutes on the clock in the 1-1 draw on 15 May 2011.
