The sporting director of Red Star Belgrade Zoran Stojadinovic talked about Dejan Stankovic:

“It is no secret that I talked to Stankovic before he broke his contrac with Inter. He said he would play with us for six months or a full season before finishing his career. After this I haven’t heard from him and I see he has agreed terms with Fiorentina.”
