FC Barcelona defender Marc Bartra reveals: “I had doubts last summer but…”

FC Barcelona defender Marc Bartra, who has been rumoured to be a player that Inter are interested in, held a pressconference yesterday where he was asked about his future.

“I have never even thought about leaving Barcelona. During the preseason I expressed a few doubts when I was asked about my future because Martino didn’t want me to join the team in the pre-season training camp and it turned out that he was right.The statistics speak for themselves.”

“It’s going well now? I see this as a reward for all the hard work I’ve put in. I’ve been with this club for 12 years and it hasn’t been easy to reach the point where I am today. No-one gifted me anything. My contract situation? The club and my agent are currently discussing this. But it’s nothing that I spend much time thinking about, I remain calm and focused on doing well on the pitch where it matters.”
