Paris Saint-Germain’s Dutch international full-back, Gregory van der Wiel, was interviewed by Le 10 Sport, where he was asked about how close he was to leaving the French capital last summer.

“I needed a little bit of time to adapt and adjust to things here, and during the summer I decided to stay and earn my place in Laurent Blanc’s team, despite the interest from Inter. It would have been a failure to leave PSG after only one year. I want to demonstrate that I can play in this team.”
