The speculation over Walter Mazzarri’s future can stop, even today’s Tuttosport confirms the excellent relationship formed between the ex Napoli tactician and new Inter president Erick Thohir. “Maybe Mazzarri can be the Alex Ferguson of Inter” proclaims the Turin based daily. The article then talks about a good feeling Thohir gained towards Mazzarri not only from watching Inter on Television back in Indonesia but also after speaking to club officials, including Massimo Moratti and Marco Fassone (the main man to lobby for Mazzarri’s arrival at the Nerazzurri). One idea had been to get Ajax coach Frank de Boer to rebuild Inter’s project from the ground upwards but when Thohir arrived in Milan he found Mazzarri, a coach that can turn things into gold with what he already has at his disposal.
