Transfermarket expert Alfredo Pedullá writes on his homepage about the rumored transfer which sees Paolo Cannavaro leave Napoli for Inter and where Andrea Ranocchia goes in the opposite direction.

“There was some talk of this towards the end of August but now there is room to conclude this deal: Andrea Ranocchia to Napoli, Paolo Cannavaro to Inter. In the near future we will know if these rumors can give life to an actual negotiation taking place between Inter and Napoli. Walter Mazzarri admires Cannavaro (who was a pillar at the heart of Napoli’s defense during Mazzarri’s tenure at the club) and is prepared to bring him to Inter, meanwhile the former Parma-man fits perfectly into the player profile that Roma are looking for.”

“With regards to Ranocchia the former Genoa and Bari defender, has over the past few transfermarkets been at the centre of rumors and it’s evidently clear that he isn’t considered untouchable. During the coming weeks many things will become much more clearer.”
