The famous Italian transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà writes on his website about Inter’s interest in Ezequiel Lavezzi, one of Walter Mazzarri’s ex-players at Napoli. Here are his comments: “In Paris Saint-Germain there are currently three unsettled players (Ménez, Lucas and Pastore), but another player could join that list: Ezequiel Lavezzi. The unhappiness does not necessarily have to be related to economical factors – PSG is a wealthy club that can satisfy most wage demands – but probably to the lack of playing time and some of Laurent Blanc’s tactical decisions. Il Pocho earlier said yes to joining the Paris-based club, but as things are right now he would be interested in changing teams if an interesting offer were to appear. He would love to return to the Serie A, a competition that he misses and that left him with positive memories from the pitch as well as on a personal level: in Napoli he felt the support from an entire city. How this whole thing unfolds is yet to be seen. Contacts have been made, even recently, between Lavezzi, Mazzarri and thestaff working for the coach. Even if it is true that Inter primarily are looking for an attacker with other characteristics, a striker like Pinilla or Osvaldo, Inter’s head coach would be very interested in a potential chance of once again signing Lavezzi. Mazzarri is waiting to see how the player’s situation develops: January is not far away”.
